(WILMINGTON, Ohio) – The Wilmington College men's soccer team picked up another victory over a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) opponent tonight. This time it was the Transylvania University Pioneers in a 4-1 triumph. Four different players scored goals in the win, with
Kaden Young,
Jordan Domoe,
Randy Harris, and
Parker Burke all finding the back of the net.
This win improves the Quakers overall record to 4-0-2 this season as they hit the road for their next game on Saturday at Hanover College.
Wilmington's first goal of the night came in the 10th minute of the contest. The ball went to the Pioneers keeper, who had trouble clearing it before
Randy Harris stole it. The ball eventually found its way to
Kaden Young, who corralled it and went upper 90 into the left corner of the net to give the Quakers a 1-0 advantage.
The Quakers next goal came off a great assist from
Randy Harris, who found
Jordan Domoe for the 2-0 lead in the 27th minute.
Jace Houck got possession at the 45-yard line and found Harris, who threaded the ball right between two Pioneer defenders to a perfectly placed Domoe. He made the most of his one on one with the keeper and beat him to his left for the goal.
Randy Harris found the net next for Wilmington off a great pass from
Alfie Harris to push the game to 3-0. The Pioneers scored to make it 3-1.
Parker Burke put the cherry on top for the Quakers with a rocket off his left foot from about 25 yards out with mere seconds remaining in the contest to end the game at 4-1.
