(WILMINGTON, Ohio) – The Wilmington College softball team split their Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) doubleheader with the Heidelberg University Student Princes at home today. They run-ruled the Student Princes 10-2 in five innings in game one, before dropping the final contest 8-6. Rachel Berry led the Quakers during the day with five runs batted in (RBI). The Quakers went ahead 5-0 after the first inning. Wilmington loaded the bases with one out, where a Maddie Starnes infield single brought in the first run and Claire Scully reached on an error to make it a 2-0 game. A delayed steal snatched another run for Wilmington in the second to push it to 6-0. A Berry double and a Jocelyn Franz single plated the final runs of the game for the Quakers in a four-run third inning for a 10-0 lead.
