Six Quakers Score in 9-4 Win Over Muskingum

(WILMINGTON, Ohio) – The Wilmington College men's soccer team won their fifth straight game Wednesday night and stayed undefeated in a 9-4 win over the visiting Muskingum University Fighting Muskies in Williams Stadium.

Parker Burke continued his incredible first season as a Quaker with another hat trick to help lead Wilmington to victory. Randy Harris added a goal and two assists in the game, while Luke Washenfelder also dished out a pair of assists. Wilmington is now 9-0-3 overall this season.

Burke got the scoring started for Wilmington in the 15th minute as Randy Harris found him in the box for a left footed strike. Burke made it 2-0 in the 17th minute after he passed it to Kaden Young, who sent the ball past his defender to Burke, who beat the keeper one on one for the score.

Burke was involved in the third goal as well, finding Luke Washenfelder on the far side, who chipped one into Randy Harris's head for the goal and a 3-0 Quakers advantage. Washenfelder found Young later in the half for a left footed strike and a 4-0 lead. The Muskies made the score 4-1 before Alfie Harris sent an unassisted strike into the back of the net for a 5-1 lead in the 27th minute.

Muskingum made it a 5-2 game before a Jose Ruiz goal off a free kick gave Wilmington a 6-2 lead at the half.

The Muskies cut the lead to 6-3, before Burke scored his final goal of the game, finding the upper right corner of the net for a 7-3 lead off a Randy Harris assist. A Muskies own goal extended Wilmington's lead to 8-3 before the Muskies scored to push it to 8-4. The final goal came from Logan Kent on a free kick that snuck past the keeper and gave Wilmington a 9-4 win.
