BEREA – Twenty-one unanswered Baldwin Wallace points in the second half proved too much to overcome as the Wilmington College football team fell to the Yellow Jackets Saturday, 38-21, in Ohio Athletic Conference action at George Finnie Stadium.

The BW scoring blitz came on the heels of Wilmington taking the lead with a touchdown on its first drive of the second half. The Fightin' Quakers marched 61 yards on nine plays with senior quarterback Luke Creditt (Wilmington, OH/Waynesville) connecting with sophomore A.J. Hightower (Memphis, TN/Tipton-Rosemark Academy) from three-yards out.

Creditt threw his third touchdown pass of the game with 10:50 remaining, a three-yard toss to senior Eric Flynn, Jr. (Cleveland, OH/Central Catholic) to pull Wilmington to within 10 points. He was 22-of-34 for 217 yards, three touchdowns and one interception.

Unfortunately, Baldwin Wallace had another answer to push its lead back to 17 points. It was the fourth straight Yellow Jacket second-half drive that culminated in a touchdown.

Flynn racked up 142 all-purpose yards in spearheading the WC offense. He gained 70 yards on 16 carries to go along with 59 yards on six receptions. Flynn added 13 kickoff return yards.

Freshman Ameer Jackson (Cleveland, OH/Brush) recorded a career-high 91 yards receiving on eight catches and his first career touchdown.

Wilmington's defense finished with five sacks on the game as seniors David Henry (Wilmington, OH/Wilmington) and Terrance Narcisse-Murphy (Castleberry, FL/Lyman) tallied 1.5 sacks each. Sophomore Bernard Ross (Lauderhill, FL/Fort Lauderdale) tallied another one, while sophomore Nolan Keller (Cincinnati, OH/LaSalle) and senior Ryan Prince (Urbana, OH/Urbana) split another takedown.

Freshmen Tre'Quez Parks and Leroy Wilson (Cincinnati, OH/Princeton) finished with 11 tackles each to lead the Fightin' Quakers.

Wilmington (2-3 overall, 1-3 OAC) returns home 2 p.m. Saturday for a Homecoming meeting with Marietta.
