LIMA – The Wilmington College women's tennis team opened up their 2013 season against regionally-ranked Ohio Northern, falling 9-0.

Senior Marie Granstrom was the lone tennis player to win a game, losing in first singles, 6-0, 6-1. Junior Jordan VanWinkle (second singles), senior Kaitlyn Lentz (third singles), senior Jennifer Van Winkle (fourth singles), freshman Allyson McKelvey (fifth singles) and freshman Mikaela Villinger (sixth single) all fell 6-0, 6-0.

All three doubles teams fell 8-0 with Granoso/Jordan VanWinkle losing in first doubles, Lentz/Jennifer VanWinkle in second doubles, and McKelvey/Villemeyer falling in third doubles.

Wilmington (0-1) hosts Marietta 4 p.m. Saturday in Ohio Athletic Conference action.
