Shadrach Brausch enters his second year as the Quakers Strength and Conditioning Coach in 2025-26. He spent the 2023-24 academic year as Wilmington's Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities & Operations.
Brausch will be tasked with working with all 18 of the Quakers varsity programs. He will create fitness plans for each program, and work with the athletes on proper nutrition, conditioning, mobility, and recovery to help the athletes develop.Â
Brausch comes to Wilmington with a wide variety of skills and experiences having most recently served as a strength and conditioning intern at The Ohio State University. There, he worked primarily with the Buckeyes' fencing, swimming & diving and track & field teams. Brausch implemented strength training and return-to-play programs for student-athletes along with supporting the power & strength development and mobility training that led to top 15 finishes for both swimming & diving teams at the NCAA Division I Championships. He is certified by the National Strength & Conditioning Association.
Before Ohio State, Brausch was a non-traditional student at Wilmington, graduating in December of 2022 with a degree in exercise science. He appeared on the Dean's List three times and was an All-Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) selection as a heavyweight and member of the Quakers' wrestling program.Â
Before enrolling at WC, Brausch served nine years in the United States Marine Corps as a Staff Sergeant. He was a non-commissioned officer in charge of the powerline work center and supervised approximately 50 marines.Â
Brausch, a native of Wilmington and graduate of Wilmington High School, is pursuing a master of science degree in human performance from Liberty University. He resides in Wilmington with his wife and three children.
