Sam Ervin enters her first season as a men's soccer assistant coach in 2026.
Ervin comes to Wilmington College after serving as an Assistant Coach at North Park University in Chicago, Illinois for four seasons, along with being a graduate assistant for two seasons. Â

While at North Park, Ervin led the Vikings recruiting efforts, while building and maintaining relationships with high school and AAU coaches to help bring athletes to play for the Vikings.

Other duties included one on one training sessions with athletes, creating scouting reports and breaking down film, assisting in practice planning and monitoring academic progress through meetings with the athletes.

Before her time in Chicago, Ervin was an Assistant Coach at Loras College in Iowa for one season. During this time, she was the Duhawks JV coach along with recruiting athletes, conducting workouts, creating scouting reports, among other duties.

Ervin was a four-year women’s basketball player at Defiance College in Ohio where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Education Studies before earning a Masters of Organizational Leadership degree at North Park.

She was a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) at Defiance and also has experience as a youth and AAU basketball coach and camp instructor.
