Burke qualified for the finals of two hurdles events on Thursday by taking second in the 400-meter hurdles by crossing the finish line in 1:05.20 and finishing the 100-meter hurdles in fifth (15.68 seconds).
The Wilmington College women's track and field spent the day at Hoernemann Stadium to cap off the 2021 regular season. The team finished strong, taking runner-up honors 132 points and finishing close behind the leader, Baldwin Wallace University, with 143.5 points.
Kayli Sullivan tallied yet another record-breaking performance to highlight the Wilmington College women’s track & field team’s achievements at the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Elite Meet hosted by Otterbein University on Saturday.
The senior hurled a throw of 50.53 meters to win the hammer throw and set the program record. She also took second in the shot put with a mark of 11.68 meters, finishing up 0.03 meters behind Alexa Poling of Capital University.
Sullivan's best mark in both events came at the 2021 Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Championships. The senior won the shot put at those championships with a mark of 45' 4 1/2" and finished second in the weight throw with a mark of 54' 6.5".
The Wilmington College Women’s track & field team places 7th at the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Indoor Championship. Traveling with a small squad, they were able to rack up 24 points over the course of the meet.
The Wilmington College Women’s track & field team finishes off the indoor regular season with a third-place finish behind Marietta College and Muskingum University, followed by host Capital University.
