WESTERVILLE, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's cross country team heads into the 2021 season ranked fifth in the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) coaches poll. The Fightin' Quakers racked up 49 points to bolster down the position. John Carroll University topped the poll with 81 points and a unanimous vote for first place.

Following a sixth-place finish at the OAC Championships in 2019 and a shortened 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Quakers look to better their rank from past years with a young team of runners. "I like the potential of our team," Head Men's Cross Country Coach Ron Combs commented. "It's a good blend of veterans and freshmen."

Wilmington will host the OAC Championships at the end of October for the first time since 2012. The Quakers head to Delaware, Ohio to kick off the season at the Ohio Wesleyan Invitational on September 1st.
