Season Finale at Capital University for Indoor Track

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College Men's track and field team will finish up its 2021 indoor regular season with a final meet at Capital University, traveling there for the fourth time this season for an indoor meet on Sunday.

The Schedule:  Field events start off at 11:00 AM with track events shooting off at 1:00 PM.

The Teams:  Wilmington will be joined by hosts Capital in addition to Marietta College and Muskingum University.

The Coach: Ron Combs continues his 23rd season as the head coach of Wilmington's men's and women's track and field teams. Combs has been named Coach of the Year, twice by the Heartland Athletic Conference, and once by the OAC. In 2002, he led the men's indoor team to a sixth-place finish at NCAA DIII Championships.

Who to Watch:  Wilmington's Evan Whitaker, who won the mile and the 1000-meter run last weekend, will be competing in the 800-meter run.  Freshman Aidan Henson, coming off of a 500-meter dash victory last weekend, will be racing in the 800-meter run as well as the 4x400-meter relay.

Up Next:  Wilmington finishes up the regular season for indoor track and heads to Westerville, Ohio to compete in the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Indoor Championships at Otterbein University next week.
