Wilmington College

Joshua Cyrus began his coaching career at Wilmington in 2023 where he served as assistant for XC and Track for three years. In 2026 he was tabbed as Associate Head Coach for both programs.

Cyrus was a four-year member of both the cross country and track & field programs as a middle-distance runner; named as the first team captain since 1996. The 2022 Wilmington College alumnus was a three-time Academic All-OAC selection and earned All-OAC honors at the 2020 OAC Indoor Track & Field Championships.

Coach Cyrus assisted during the cross-country seasons with 5 All-Region, 3 OAC champion, 3 regional champions, 6 All-Americans and a National Champion.

Cyrus’s sprints in track have seen six program records taken down along with 26 All-OAC performances as individuals and relays. Continuing to assist the distance side and jumps, Cyrus aided in 18 OAC champions, 8 All-Americans and 5 national champions.
