Austin Young enters his third season as an assistant coach with the Wilmington College men's lacrosse program in 2025.
A native of Mason and a graduate of Cincinnati Christian Hills Academy, Young was a five-year member of the men's lacrosse program playing primarily as an attacker. He appeared in 64 career games with 57 starts.Â
Young scored 57 goals in his Quakers career, which ties for seventh in program history. His 22 assists and 79 points are eighth in program history. He also sits in the Top-10 in career shots (238 - 6th), shots on goal (134 - 6th), and ground balls (123 - 9th).
Since graduating with a degree in exercise science with an allied health concentration, Young has worked as a rehab aide at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. There, he assisted with acute care rehabilitation as well as speech and language pathologists. Young prepared for this opportunity by participating in WC's observation program program, at Mercy Health Fairfield Occupational Therapy, in the fall of 2021. While a student, he also coached with the Xenia Lightning at the junior varsity level.
Young resides in Wilmington.Â
