Randall and McCoy Pin Opponents in Loss at Mount St. Joseph

(CINCINNATI, Ohio) – The Wilmington College wrestling team competed in their final dual of the season tonight at Mount St. Joseph University, losing to the Lions, 41-12.

The Quakers conclude their dual season with an overall record of 4-15. This ties last year's four dual victories for the most since the program returned during the 2018-19 academic year.

Thane McCoy and Hunter Randall had the lone victories for Wilmington tonight. McCoy beat Rylee Nealeigh by fall in 3:17 after nearly winning by tech. fall, holding a 16-2 lead before ending the match by fall. Randall beat Noah Johnson by fall in 3:51 after holding a 4-0 lead in the second period.

A pair of other Quakers had close matches in Andre Lewis and Asher LeBeau. Lewis lost by 4-2 decision to Dakota Phillips while LeBeau lost by 9-7 decision to Xavier Woods.

What's Up Next
The Quakers head to familiar foe Ohio Northern University for the NCAA Region IV Championships on February 27th and 28th, with both days slated for a 10:00 A.M. start.

Wilmington looks to earn their first national qualifier since the return of the program in 2018-19.
