(WILMINGTON, Ohio) - Sophomore wrestler Thane McCoy was selected as the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Wrestler of the Week earlier this afternoon. It is the first time in McCoy's career that he earned the honor. 

In Wilmington's opening match of the year, McCoy won the 157-pound weight class at the Trine Invitational on Saturday afternoon, going 5-0. The sophomore defeated the No. 10 ranked 157-pound NAIA wrestler in the finals. He had a final period takedown to clinch the match and win it 8-4.  

The Quakers' first home and OAC match is tomorrow at 7:00 P.M. against Otterbein University.
