HARRISBURG, Pennsylvania - Ciara Lawson got things started for the Wilmington College equestrian team at the Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association (IHSA) National Championships on Friday.

Lawson, competing in the Open Division, placed seventh as the first of three Fightin' Quakers to compete on the weekend. Ashley Howard and Brooke Pitts will ride on Sunday.
