Wilmington splits at John Carroll

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, OH – The Wilmington College women's swim team split two results Saturday at John Carroll, beating Defiance and losing to John Carroll.

"The women swam well," said WC head coach Trip Breen. "We had some great swims today. The meet right before exam week is always tough. To see the team come together in the last week of the semester was a lot of fun today."

Senior Julie Creech (Centerville, OH/Centerville) and sophomore Caroline Kruczynski (Grove City, OH/Central Crossing) claimed the only two wins for the Lady Quakers. Creech won the 100 butterfly in 1:03.11 and Kruczynski was victorious in the 100 freestyle, covering the distance in 58:76.

Wilmington won't return to action until January 19 when the Quakers host Mount Union.
