WILMINGTON, Ohio - Despite not being able to compete on the pitch during the normal fall season, the Wilmington College women's soccer team continued its tradition of academic prowess in what was surely a different semester to close out the 2020 calendar year.
The Fightin' Quakers tallied a 3.43 cumulative team GPA in a semester that included distance learning and other safety measures to combat the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the academic challenges, nine players carried a perfect 4.0 GPA for the semester. Eight others were above a 3.50 while the same number achieved at least a 3.0 GPA.
Wilmington opens its 2021 spring season on Sunday, March 14.
