Jessie Madzia enters her third season as an assistant softball coach at Wilmington College for the 2019-20 academic year. She serves as the program's pitching coach.

In her first year with the program, Madzia aided Head Coach Beth Floyd in guiding the Fightin' Quakers to an 18-14 overall record, the program's second winning season in 20 years. Additionally, Wilmington's 6-12 OAC record is the second-best (8-10 in 2014) record in Wilmington's 19 years in the league. Two Quaker pitchers - Grace Shell and Hayley Suchland - garnered All-OAC honors under her tutelage.

Madzia came to Wilmington after a highly successful playing career at NCAA Division III member Bluffton University. Both a field player and a pitcher, Madzia started in 110 games during her Beaver career. In the pitching circle, Madzia won 20 career games along with posting an earned run average (ERA) of under 2.50 in her first three seasons. As a hitter, she tallied 14 home runs.

A 2018 graduate of Bluffton, Madzia earned a degree in social work. She served as Vice President of Bluffton's Social Work Club for a year as well as interned at the Family Resource Center of Northwest Ohio for the last six months.

She resides in Wilmington.
