WILMINGTON, Ohio - Wilmington College men's track & field senior Kalvin Butts has qualified for the 2018 NCAA Division III Men's Indoor Track & Field Championships in the weight throw.
"Kal [Butts] has worked extremely hard and the opportunity to compete on a national stage is well deserved," Assistant Track & Field Coach Wayne Stacy, who coaches the Fightin' Quakers' throwers, said. "We are all looking forward to big throws on Friday."
Butts, who threw a personal best of 18.33-meters and won the weight throw at the Polar Bear Last Chance meet last weekend, will be seeded 14th for the championships in Birmingham, Alabama, this weekend.
The men's weight throw is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. (CST) on Friday, March 9.
