Robbie Brown enters his second year as an assistant football coach with the Wilmington College football program in 2019. He will serve the Fightin’ Quakers as linebacker’s coach and coordinating the defensive passing scheme.
In 2018, Brown helped mentor Tre'Quez Parks to Second Team All-OAC honors as the safety led the defensive unit in tackles wiht 100.
Brown comes to Wilmington from Oberlin College where he spent the 2017 season as defensive backs coach. Along with coaching his position group, Brown assisted with the special teams game plan as well as coordinating visits for the program. He is recruiting responsibilities included the city of Columbus and surrounding counties and the New England region.
Prior to Oberlin, Brown was a defensive backs coach at North Carolina Wesleyan for two seasons and aided the Battling Bishops to consecutive five-win campaigns. He coached two Defensive Rookie of the Week honorees as well as monitored academic progress of his student-athletes.
Brown earned his master’s degree in business administration from Defiance College in 2015. As a graduate student, he worked with the Yellow Jacket defensive backs as well as serving the program as video coordinator.
He graduated from Ohio Dominican University in 2011 with a degree in sport management. Brown was a four-year member of ODU's football team and won the MSFA Mid East Championship in 2007.
Brown and his wife Anna reside in Wilmington.
